We use only the center 30% of the trunk. The highest density zone. Where the grain is tightest, the weight is deepest, and the wood feels almost alive under your hand.

Why is it more expensive than regular cutting boards?
Most cutting boards are hidden in a drawer. ALORIVO lives on your counter. It's a cutting board AND a design object — award-winning, safety-certified, premium West African Sapele.
Is the glass safe? Will it break if dropped?
ALORIVO uses 5mm tempered glass — 5× stronger than standard glass. It passes FDA (USA) and EU EC 1935/2004 food contact safety standards.
Checkerboard vs. Solid — what's the difference?
Both use identical materials and certifications. Checkerboard (Sapele & rubberwood): bold, artistic, hand-assembled grain. Solid Sapele: clean, uniform, sleek. Purely an aesthetic choice.
The cutting board you received has a strong odor?
The cutting board does not contain formaldehyde. The odor may originate from the natural wood scent or the volatilization of food-grade natural latex. To reduce or eliminate these odors, you can take the following measures: place it in a well-ventilated area to air dry (avoid moisture/high temperatures), or wipe it with a white vinegar or baking soda solution. If the odor persists, please contact our customer service immediately.
